How to setup pricelist

A price list plays a crucial role in the hotel industry as it provides transparency and clarity to guests regarding the cost of accommodations and services offered. A well-structured price list can also help hotels effectively market their offerings and attract potential guests by showcasing the value they provide. It helps guests make informed decisions about their stay by outlining the prices of different room types, amenities, and additional services. 

Setup hotel room price options

To begin with, need to create attributes settings in the system - follow these steps:

1. open the 'Sales' module;
2. click on the 'Configuration' tab;
3. click the 'Attributes' from the drop-down list;
4. click the 'New' button.
   

Create new hotel price options

On the new page provide the following information:

1. Attribute Name - specify the name;
2. Hotel Pricing - enable this toggle;
3. Display Type - choose one of the options (Radio is a default one);
4. Variants Creation Mode - choose the mode of creation variants (Instantly is a default one).

Once the above is done, the next step is to create new attributes in the 'Hotel Pricing' tab by clicking 'Add a line' - fill in the columns:

1. 'Name' - provide the name of an attribute;
2. 'Price Type' - choose one of four options: Per Guest, Per Guest w/o Infants, Set of Guests, or Room;
3. 'ACI category' - define age category: adult, child, or infant;
4. 'Guests' - the value in this column depends on the option that was selected in the 'Price Type' column:

• • if the option 'Per Guest' is selected, then the value is '1' (read-only);
  • if the option 'Per Guest w/o Infants' is selected, the value is editable;

  For example, if an attribute name is '3 Guests' and the 'Price Type' option is 'Per Guest w/o Infants', then in the 'Guests' column value must be '3'. And it covers the following combinations: 3 Adults, 2Adults + 1 Child, 1 Adult + 2 Children, and 3 Children.
  

  • if the option 'Set of Guests' is selected, then the value is editable;
  • if the option 'Room' is selected, then the value is '0' (read-only).

For example, if an attribute name is 'Two adults' and the 'Price Type' option is 'Set of Guests', then in the 'Guests' column value must be '2.
