Room Number autoassignment

When creating an individual reservation, a critical factor to consider is the choice of room number. Users have the option to manually select from the available rooms, taking into account specific guest preferences such as floor level, proximity to amenities, or preferred view. Alternatively, the system can automatically assign the optimal room using a sophisticated algorithm that considers factors like the gap between reservations, optimizing the use of housekeeping resources, and reducing the likelihood of guests needing to change rooms during their stay.

Auto-assignment for individual reservations

To use automatic room assignment for individual reservations, the necessary steps are:

1. create a guest reservation with one of these approaches - basic path or kanban card;
2. open created reservation;
3. in the 'Room&Arrangement Details' section click on the  '→ Available Rooms' field;
4. in a room-type mode in the column 'To Allocate' set value '1' in a desired room type.
   

The system automatically reviews all room numbers that are free during the reservation period. It also checks for a minimum gap before and after the reservation dates to match the current reservation with the optimal available choice.

Auto-assignment for group reservations

For group reservations, the automatic room assignment function is applied at the split stage - when clicking on the 'Split Reservation' button in a confirmed group reservation, the system will select the best room number options for each room type in the current reservation.
