Floor Setup

Hotel floors are usually organized with a certain number of rooms on each floor, along with common areas such as elevators, stairwells, ice machines, and vending machines. 


Common Floor Setup


The layout can vary depending on the size and design of the hotel, but here are some common features:

  1. Guest rooms: The main feature of a hotel floor is, of course, the guest rooms. These are typically arranged along a central corridor, with doors facing the corridor.
  2. Elevators and stairwells: Hotels usually have elevators and stairwells located at either end of the floor for easy access to different levels.
  3. Ice and vending machines: These are often located in a central area on the floor for guests' convenience.
  4. Housekeeping closets: Housekeeping closets are typically located throughout the floor for easy access to cleaning supplies and equipment.
  5. Emergency exits: Hotels are required to have marked emergency exits on each floor for safety purposes.

Floor Setup


To create and configure this floor setup, follow these steps:

1. in the 'Hotel Management' tab, click on 'Configuration';

2. select 'Floor Setup' from the list in the 'Room Settings' section.



How to create a new Floor


When a new window is opened, a summary of the existing floors along with a list of items available on each floor. There is also an option to create new floors - click the 'New' button in the top left corner to create a new record:

  1. 'Floor Name' - provide the name of the floor;
  2. 'Floor Setup' - specify everything available on the certain floor;
  3. 'Floor Plan' - upload an image for a certain floor.



How to modify a Floor


The following modification options are available:

1. To modify a record, just click on the corresponding line and make all necessary adjustments on the floor page;


2. To delete a record, click on the checkbox in the corresponding line -> Actions -> Delete.



3. To duplicate a record, click on the checkbox in the corresponding line -> Actions -> Duplicate.
